Effingham Community Church (SECC) is located 17 miles northwest of Savannah,
Georgia. Our campus consists of 45+ acres located in southern Effingham County.
The campus includes stocked fishing ponds, a 7/10-mile walking track and lots
of wide open spaces, all designed for the community to come experience the beauty
and wonder of God's creation. We meet together in a 17,000+ sq. ft. multipurpose
building. These meetings include worship services on Sunday, Wednesday night activities,
and a week-day after school program, called Planet 82. The building is used for
additional education and recreation purposes as well. SECC
is a relatively young church of 9 years with a 150 plus membership. Our congregation
is comprised mostly of families whose adult median age is between thirty and forty-five.
The occupations of the adults within our body cluster mainly in the categories
of professionals, managers, sales persons and small-business owners.
We began as a mission/cell church started by the Savannah Baptist Association.
Our vision is "to build bridges over which persons may move from where
ever they are into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ". While welcoming
anyone seeking to know more about Christ, we have a strong desire to reach out
to those who have either never been in church or have become disheartened through
the years. We believe that God loves you right where you are (spiritually, emotionally,
and physically), but that He loves you too much to leave you there. Our

weekly adult worship celebration begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, as we welcome
the Holy Spirit into our presence with contemporary praise and worship. We enjoy
a relaxed, casual atmosphere with an emphasis on our Savior. Throughout the week,
we worship and build community through small groups, with a number of adult groups,
as well as those for middle and high school students. We have an active ministry
for children and adult prayer groups on Wednesday nights. SECC is associated with
the Savannah Baptist Association, Georgia Baptist Convention and the Southern
Baptist Convention. We
